When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study art, during my college years and beyond I worked with a renowned iconographer throughout north america, he taught me the Russian and the Cretan style of iconography.
I use many different mediums, such as pencil, egg tempera, clay, acrylics, and pastels, and all of what ever nature has me discover. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. the surfaces that i apply my brunches of color vary as well, from canvas, to paper and wood even rock or stone surfaces.
I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work.
